Comments: At this point what more can you say about Bob Loveless, that he was the most influential knife maker of all time, that he was a true legend and more - yes, but even more importantly, Bob was one hell of a knife maker!
Then there is Steve Johnson, widely regarded as the finest maker of stock-removal fixed-blades on the planet today, and also Bob's most distinguished disciple, who worked in the shop from 1970 to 1973 before setting out on his own.
Put them together and you have this Ultra-rare Loveless-Johnson Gut Hook Skinner. Among the most rare of all Loveless models in and of itself, this Gut Hook was produced in the shop between 1972 and 1973 by Bob and Steve together.
That makes it one of only 40 or so knives known to have the Loveless-Johnson logo.
These astonishing special logo knives virtually never come to market, and as far as we know not more than 4 of those 40 were Gut Hooks! So what we have here is one of the most impossible to find of all Loveless knives.
Own this knife and own a piece of a true legend. Complete with original sheath. No serious modern custom knife collection is complete without at least one of Bob's knives, and the Nesmuck is a great place to start!
